Immunogen: Recombinant human SOX2 (a.a. 135-317)

Description/Data:
Picture

The SOX (SRY-box containing gene) gene family encodes a group of transcription factors defined by the conserved high motility group (HMG) DNA-binding domain. They are involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate.

SOX2 belongs to the SOX (SRY-like HMG box) family of transcription factors with diverse roles in development. SOX2 functions in specifying the first three lineages present at implantation and in regulating proliferation and differentiation in the developing peripheral nervous system.

Image: SRY (sex determining region Y)-box 2 (SOX2)  detected in immersion fixed BG01V human embryonic stem cells cultured on irradiated mouse embryonic fibroblasts  for 3 hours at room temperature (Dilution: 10 µg/mL). Cells were stained using the 493-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue, inset).

Fig4 b Immunostaining of Hae ES cells. In the column of αSox2, D and M indicate the staining with anti-SoxN antisera and mouse anti-Sox2 monoclonal antibody, respectively. Hae ES cells express Drosophila SoxN but not mouse Sox2. Nuclear signals indicate the antibody staining whereas the cytoplasmic fluorescence signals were derived from DsRed. DOI: 10.1186/s12862-016-0755-4
