Apoptosis Antibody Arrays Designed for the Simultaneous Detection of the Relative Levels of 43 Apoptosis Related Markers

Our C-Series Apoptosis Array Kits give you the abilility to rapidly, accurately and inexpensively identify the expression profiles of multiple related proteins in several hours. These kits provide a simple array format, and highly sensitive approach to simultaneously detect  up to 43 apoptosis related protein expression levels from conditioned media, patient’s sera, cell lysate, tissue lysates and other sources. Figures: Apoptotic protein profiling in Induced and uninduced Jurkat cell Lines. Jurkat cells were treated with apoptosis inducer set for 7 hours (10mM Actinomycin D, 2mM Camptothecin, 100mM Cycloheximide, 10mM Dexamethasone, and 100mM Etopiside). 500 μg of cell lysate from both induced and uninduced Jurkat cells were incubated overnight with RayBio Human Apoptosis Antibody Array membrane. Control membrane was incubated with blocking buffer. The antibody array membranes were then washed and cocktail of biotinylated antibody mix was used to detect apoptosis-related proteins. After incubation with HRP-Conjugated Streptavidin, the signals were visualized after 5 minute exposure by chemiluminescence.

Traditionally, cytokines are detected by using ELISA. However, RayBiotech’s approach has several advantages over ELISA. First, and most importantly, our approach can detect many cytokines simultaneously. Secondly, sensitivity is greatly increased. As little as 4 pg/ml of MCP-1 can be detected using the protein array format. In contrast, at least 40 pg/ml of MCP-1 is required to produce a clear signal in an ELISA assay. Furthermore, the detection range is much greater than ELISA. For example, the detection range of IL-2 varies from 25 to 250,000 pg/ml using RayBiotech technology, whereas the detection range varies only within 100-1000 fold in a typical ELISA.
