Description/Data:
Serum-free media (SFM) for use in primary mouse cells. Culturing with SFM must be performed on fibronectin-coated tissue culture plates. Plates may be coated with fibronectin using a stock solution prior to passaging or by purchasing fibronectin-coated plates that have been pre-coated by the manufacturer. The use of serum in the media is not recommended for primary cells as use of serum can cause loss of proliferation potential, genetic abnormalities (tetraploidy) and tumorigenic phenotypes.
Serum-free media (SFM) for use in culturing human neuronal cells. Media is serum-free DMEM/F12-based containing L-glutamine, HEPES, Penicillin, Streptomycin and proprietary factors that increases neuron viability.
